2012 Here I come again~!

2011's 3 day walk was nothing short of AMAZING! It was full of emotions, some I never thought I even had. You wont understand until you experience it first hand. People told me bring tissues and of course I thought I would get some teary eyes... NO, I bawled, like a baby. So many emotions came rushing to me at the end of the 3 days. Pain for those that have endeared and lost the battle, Pride for my amazing new friend that had actually fought it and won and even the fact that I did it and made a difference. All the blisters were worth it and I would do it all over again. I have met some of the most amazing and strong women that will forever be a huge part of my heart. The thought doing this event once would be something like a "bucket list" but after experiencing all of it, its now a commitment. I am committed to raise the money as many years as I have to just so I know my daughter or grandchildren never have to fight through something so ugly as cancer. So please sit back and enjoy the journey with team "liz's Leading Ladies" once again as we get ready for the 3 day Booze Breast cancer walk!

Fundraiser one AND two!

Success! We kicked off memorial day weekend with a bang. We passed out numerous flyers, sent frequent emails but it all paid off. We set up the fundraiser with Pat and Oscars and the deal was 20% of the total sales made with our flyers will be donated right back to our 3day! The manager told us our friends/family that came we brought in over $600!!!

Bright and early the very next morning we held our first garage sale. I think we totaled $475 to split between the three of us. We still have a ton of stuff that did not sell so we plan to hold one more the last saturday in june. But man do those vans show up early! 4:30 my mom called me and told me to get up and head over quick because they were lined up outside ;)

I feel so great coming so close to my goal! I only need $229 to hit my $2,300 goal and be able to say I was a part in contributing to breast cancer research. We will find the cure!

May is upon us!

We have a couple of new donors this month! Callaway Wineries in temecula has generously offered a wine tasting for two guests at their beautiful location in wine country. Grapeline wine tours offered a package retailing $109 that is good for two full day tours to 5 wineries including discounts on tastings and souvenirs.  These are right up our alley for our June wine tasting fundraiser.

Also this month is our first fundraiser! Please come eat anytime throughout the day Friday may 27th from 11am-8pm at Pat and Oscars in Parkway Plaza and present the flyer and 20% will be donated right back to our 3day donations! If you need a flyer please let me know and I can email it to you. Invite your family, tell your neighbors! This is a easy and great way to support our team!

When we set up the donation for the photo session we had NO idea it would have been this successful! Although I knew with my husbands talents and small price of a donation to a very important cause that we would get a good start on my $2,300 goal. My mind is completely blown that I am already almost half way there with this being only my first fundraiser!!! I may be able to go far and above that first goal! :) So I just wanted to sincerely say THANK YOU to all of you that have helped me get this far already. Its such a great feeling for me to know that I will be able to walk in this years walk to help fight breast cancer.

A few tentative dates for fundraisers....

Pat and Oscars- Friday May 27th 11:00am-8:00pm Come in and take a night off from cooking. 20% of the proceeds go to our team!

Garage Sale- Saturday May 28th 5am-11am. Need any kids/baby clothes. DVD's furniture etc. come by we will also be having a small bake sale. All proceeds go to the 3day.

On the Boarder (El Cajon) Wednesday June 8th- Visit OTB and have some dinner and margaritas! 20% of the sales with the flyer will be donated to my 3day walk.


Bingo- Saturday, August 27th - There will be a $30 buy in. It will give you a chance to donate as well as play 8ish games with a chance at the prizes from our donors. Wear your PINK :)


I know all the dates are not going to fit everyone perfectly but I do hope they fit most :) Thank you all again for your support!
